Precision Distance Tracking

Locomoo's distance monitoring gives you real-time updates on how far you are from other users. The distance is calculated using GPS coordinates and updates every 2 seconds when both users have the app open.

How It's Displayed

Distance appears in multiple places throughout the app:

• Radar interface - Distance rings show approximate range
• Profile preview - Exact distance when you tap a user
• Notifications - Distance included in match alerts
• Couple Mode - Live distance counter on the home screen

Distance Units

The app automatically formats distance for readability:

• Under 100m - Shown in meters (e.g., "45m away")
• 100m to 1km - Shown in meters (e.g., "350m away")
• Over 1km - Shown in kilometers (e.g., "2.3km away")
• Settings option - Switch between metric and imperial

Use Cases

• Meeting up - Watch the distance decrease as you approach someone
• Finding friends - Locate friends in crowded venues
• Couple Mode - See how far apart you and your partner are
• Safety - Be aware when someone is getting closer

Accuracy Factors

Distance accuracy depends on several factors:

• GPS signal strength (outdoors is more accurate)
• Device model and GPS hardware
• Whether both users have location enabled
• Building interference in dense urban areas

Typical accuracy is within 5-20 meters outdoors and 20-50 meters indoors.

Privacy Controls

You control who can see your distance. Use Ghost Mode to hide completely, or set approximate location to only show rough distance ranges instead of precise measurements.
